Frequently Asked Questions

Will weeds grow through?

The membrane prevents weeds growing up from the soil. Any surface weeds come from airborne seeds settling in the sand joints, which can be easily brushed or washed away with standard maintenance.

Can the blocks sink?

Sinking is caused by a poor base. We install a minimum 150mm compacted MOT Type 1 sub-base to prevent the blocks from moving or dipping under vehicle weight.

What happens if a block gets stained?

Unlike tarmac or resin, individual paving blocks can be lifted out and replaced without needing to relay the entire driveway.
