Security Bollards
Supply and installation of telescopic and fixed security bollards. We fit these into new surfacing projects or retrofit them into existing tarmac, block paving, and concrete across residential and commercial sites.
How we fit them
1. Core Drilling & Excavation
We don't just smash a hole in the drive. We use a diamond core drill to cut a neat circle through the existing surface (tarmac, concrete, or block). We then excavate deep enough to house the full outer casing.
2. Soakaway Drainage
Telescopic bollards sit underground when lowered. We create a soakaway at the base of the excavation using clean stone so rainwater drains away naturally rather than pooling inside the casing.
3. Concrete Fixing
The outer casing is set perfectly plumb and concreted solidly into the ground to ensure it can withstand impact and heavy use.
4. Surface Reinstatement
We finish the surface neatly around the lid of the bollard so it sits flush with your existing driveway, posing no trip hazard when lowered.

Can they be fitted into my existing driveway?
Yes. We regularly retrofit bollards into existing tarmac, block paving, and concrete surfaces. We use specialist core-drilling equipment to ensure the cut is clean and the finish is neat.
Do they require maintenance?
Telescopic bollards require basic maintenance to function smoothly. This involves occasionally washing out the housing to clear grit and leaves, and applying a light spray lubricant to the moving parts.
Telescopic or static?
Telescopic (retractable) bollards are used for residential driveways and access routes where vehicles need to pass. Static (fixed) bollards are used to permanently protect building perimeters, shutters, and pedestrian zones on commercial sites.
